The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute and finalize project according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.

  • The Safety Supervisor performs routine safety training sessions and holds toolbox talks with the crews on job sites or at show ups.
  • He or she performs regular jobsite inspections of all crews in order to identify any unsafe work practices and unsafe conditions, documenting the visits on observation forms and forwarding findings to various administrative and management personnel.
  • A Safety Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of supplemental inspections when new equipment, substances or processes are introduced as well as when new or formerly undistinguishable hazards are discovered.
  • He or she helps with the completion of project safety planning and hazard investigation with supervisors, foremen, and managers on new jobs.
  • It is the responsibility of the Safety Supervisor to verify that corrective processes are finished in a suitable amount of time for all identified hazards.
  • In addition, it is also his or her responsibility to verify the completion of safety recommendations made by the insurance carrier, safety committee or any other safety consultants.
  • Safety Supervisors must investigate illnesses and injuries in order to determine the cause and take affirmative action toward preventing recurrence.
  • He or she must submit status reports each week that specifies projects that were completed during that particular week.
  • The Safety Supervisor makes sure that proper fire extinguishers and first aid supplies are kept on or near company equipment and vehicles.
  • The Safety Supervisor enforces all of the company safety rules.
  • He or she works with supervisors and managers in order to apply adequate disciplinary procedures for employees who violate the safety rules.
  • Safety Supervisors also assist with drug testing and promoting safety in the field.
